Elizabeth Blackburn, Carol Greider and Jack Szostak won the 2009 Nobel prize for medicine on Monday 6th October for revealing an enzyme that helps to prevent the fraying of chromosomes that causes aging and cancer. Trio won $1.42 million prize.
